Paul Stangroom,
Artist
Paul Stangroom studied
Fine Art at the Central School of Art in London and at Sunderland Polytechnic
Faculty of Art and Design. He was born in 1955 in Washington, Tyne and
Wear and lives in Hexham in Northumberland, England. The
surrounding Northumberland landscape has provided him with a new source
of inspiration.
He has always been
drawn to wild and often remote places and the dominant theme in his
work has been Himalayan mountains first visited in 1979. Since living
in Hexham the surrounding Northumberland landscape has provided him
with a new source of inspiration.
English Heritage
commissioned paintings of Whitby Abbey as part of an archaeological
and structural survey of the monument. The work is actual size and was
measured and drawn on location.
Limited
edition unframed fine art prints are available from Paul's web site.
