Whitton Hillhead: A nice gentle walk that climbs up to 212 metres (700 ft) at Whitton Hillhead where beautiful views of the Simonside hills can be seen.
Distance: 4.8 miles. Walking time: 2 ½ hours

Cragside Cariageway Walk: A pleasant walk, which gives beautiful views of Rothbury and the surrounding hills.
Distance: 7.1 miles. Walking time: 2 ½ hours

Simonside: A pleasant walk suitable for the experienced walker. Strong shoes are required and waterproofs essential as the weather can soon change.
Distance: 9 miles. Walking time: 5 hours

Lordenshaws Iron Age Hillfort, via Simonside: This walk rewards you with some of the nicest views in Northumberland.
Distance: 7.5 miles. Walking time: 2 ¾ hours
