The Hytte

Accessible self-catering holiday cottage at Bingfield, near Hexham, Northumberland.

The Hytte (pronounced hut!) is a Norwegian inspired traditional timber hytte or mountain lodge with its grass roof and offers high quality, accessible self-catering accommodation for eight guests with the added luxury of a sauna and hot-tub spa.

The kitchen/dining area is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, Microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge, freezer and a comprehensive range of kitchen equipment. The large dining area seats eight comfortably.

The open plan living area has vaulted ceilings, wooden floors and log burner. The Patio doors lead to extensive private garden and decked verandah with views of the open countryside and the magnificent "Bingfield sunset"

Four Bedrooms (cot available) in two twin rooms, one double and the larger accessible bedroom with zip and link option of twin or king-sized bed configuration, which also has a colour TV with teletext.

Shower room fully accessible with level entry shower and shower chair, toilet and washbasin.

Separate family bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.

The surrounding grounds provide a haven for birds and wildlife. Guides and identification books on local wildlife are available and there are ordinance survey maps and guides for you to plan walks, cycle rides and days out enjoying the countryside and wildlife.
