The Reading Rooms, Haydon Bridge, is ideally situated for walking, cycling, fishing, golf, shopping or riding in Northumberland's wonderful countryside. Heritage sites like Hadrian's Wall, National Trust Properties, The Lake District, the coast and castles of Northumberland and The Metro Centre all within an easy drive.

Originally built in 1850 as the village Reading Rooms, this was a venue for men to read the newspapers and the Bible. At a later date a snooker table was added and the establishment took on a role as a men’s club where there was no gambling, no alcohol and no women!

Within the Village there is an excellent choice of Restaurant, Pub or Take away food.
